counseling for women

“I want more for myself, but I don’t even know what ‘more’ is.”

“I feel disconnected…from myself, my body, and sometimes even my relationships.”

“I’m so tired of holding everything together, but I don’t know how to stop.”

Sound familiar?

I see you.

I work with women who feel disconnected from themselves, their relationships, or their sense of direction. This can show up as anxiety, depression, grief, irritability, burnout, low desire, or difficulty identifying and expressing needs. You may feel unsure of what you want, out of touch with your body or identity, or stretched thin by the roles you carry.

Together, we explore the underlying patterns that contribute to this disconnection, including relational dynamics, life transitions, and internalized beliefs that have shaped how you show up. We then build practical, meaningful ways to help you reconnect with your voice, your needs, and your sense of self, so that your life and relationships feel more aligned and sustainable.

Anxiety & Depression

address The root cause

Anxiety and depression can show up in ways that feel overwhelming, exhausting, or difficult to explain. You may notice constant worry, racing thoughts, irritability, low motivation, or a sense of heaviness and disconnection from your life. Sometimes these experiences are tied to stress, burnout, grief, or life transitions, and other times they feel more persistent.

Together, we work to understand the underlying patterns contributing to these feelings, including thought patterns, emotional responses, and nervous system activation. Using approaches such as CBT, IFS, EMDR, and somatic work, we focus on both insight and practical tools to help you feel more regulated, clear, and connected in your daily life.

life transitions & identity shifts

uncover what matters most

Life transitions can bring both growth and uncertainty, often leaving you feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure of who you are in this season of life. This may include pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, dating, marriage, divorce, empty nesting, shifts in career, or evolving roles within your family and relationships. Many women find themselves asking, “Who am I now?” or noticing a desire to redefine what this next chapter looks like.

In our work together, we explore the emotional, relational, and physical layers of these transitions, including how your nervous system is responding and what support you need to feel more grounded. Using an integrative approach that includes attachment based work, EMDR, IFS, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and somatic strategies, we create space to reconnect with your voice, your values, and a sense of self that feels steady, clear, and aligned.

trauma processing

find new ways of relating

Trauma can impact how you experience yourself, your relationships, and your sense of safety in the world. This may include past relationships, childhood experiences, medical or birth trauma, or other events that continue to affect you in the present. You may notice patterns of anxiety, emotional reactivity, shutdown, or difficulty trusting yourself or others.

In counseling, we approach trauma with care and at a pace that feels manageable, focusing on building safety and stability before processing deeper experiences. Using EMDR, IFS, attachment based work, and nervous system regulation, we help your system process and integrate what has happened so that it no longer feels as overwhelming. The goal is not to erase the past, but to help you feel more present, grounded, and able to move forward with greater ease and connection.

investing in your own wellbeing can change everything.

  • You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. Many women come in feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves, even if things look “fine” on the outside. If something feels off, or you find yourself stuck in patterns that are not working, counseling can be a place to slow down, gain clarity, and feel more supported.

  • Sessions are a space to talk through what is going on, but also to understand the patterns underneath it. In the first few sessions, we will get a sense of what is bringing you in and begin to shape the flow and focus of our work together. I will guide the process, while also making space to go in the direction that feels most important or relevant to you in the moment.

We will explore your experiences, relationships, and the factors that have shaped how you think, feel, and respond. From there, we focus on building practical, meaningful ways to help you feel more grounded, clear, and connected in your daily life.

Sessions are typically 50 to 80 minutes, depending on what we decide is the best fit for you. If you are in person, you are always welcome to help yourself to coffee or tea and settle in. My goal is to create a space that feels comfortable, supportive, and genuinely useful to you.

  • If you are considering counseling, the next step is simply to reach out. We can start with a brief consultation or schedule an initial session, depending on what feels right for you. This first step is about getting a sense of your needs, answering your questions, and making sure you feel comfortable moving forward.
